    Espanyol Vs Barcelona Match Predictions

    Espanyol Team News

Aaron Martin is a slight doubt at left-back for the home side, with Victor Alvarez ready to deputise if required.

Few changes are expected from Quique Sanchez Flores, as his players have been well-organised and form a very cohesive defensive unit.

Javi Fuego and Victor Sanchez should continue in central midfield, with the only question mark being whether Felipe Caicedo or Lep Baptistao partners Gerard Moreno up top.

    Barcelona Team News

Neymar returns following his three-match league ban, with the Brazilian fresh to start on the left-hand side of the attack.

Luis Suarez was rested against Osasuna and will start up top, with Andres Iniesta likely to play a part from the off.

Jordi Alba should come back in at left-back, with Ivan Rakitic also included in midfield.

    Predictions

Espanyol have failed to win their last two outings in La Liga, but given that this is a Catalan derby, it is highly likely that the hosts will set out to frustrate Barcelona for the implications it will have on the title race.

The hosts have lost just two of their last 15 games in Cornella, which could make things quite difficult for Luis Enrique's travelling band of title chasers.

Barcelona will be high on confidence after winning El Clasico and then thrashing Osasuna 7-1 at Camp Nou midweek, but Espanyol have proven to be tough opposition away from home in the past for Blaugrana.

    Espanyol 1-3 Barcelona
